ABOUT SVK LIITTO
The SVK Association (SVK Liitto ry) was founded in 2015 with the aim of uniting Russian-speaking residents of Finland.
The SVK Association provides information in Russian on various areas of life, as well as organizes leisure and additional education for the Russian-speaking population in Finland through its regional branches and member organizations.
SVK Liitto's volunteering, mentoring and coaching activities contribute to several Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Here's how it relates to the various SDGs:

Supporting migrants and their adaptation to a new society contributes to their economic sustainability and poverty reduction.

Conducting support groups and providing psychological support improves the overall well-being of migrants and their mental health.

Mentors and counselors help migrants and their families access educational resources and learning opportunities that promote their integration and success.

Providing support and resources for migrant women helps them achieve equal opportunities and rights.

Mentoring and counselling help migrants adapt to the labour market, find decent work and contribute to economic growth.

Support and integration of migrants helps to reduce social and economic inequality in society.

Volunteering and supporting migrants helps create inclusive and resilient communities.

The work of mentors and counsellors helps migrants understand their rights and responsibilities, access to justice and effective institutions, which contributes to peace and justice.
